ENERGY SAVING AS A PART OF EVERYDAY BEHAVIOR AND ACTIONS

Taking care of the environment is more than simple fulfillment of legal provisions. In Pivara Skopje, it is a way of everyday behavior, work and responsibility of all the employees. We aim to share this care with our stakeholders (customers, consumers, suppliers and others) in order to ensure greater positive joint impact. All for the sake of the sustainability of the world we live in. Pivara Skopje stands out in our community for its investment in energy saving and environmental protection.
We are committed to growing our business, but not our carbon emissions. In our energy saving and efficiency, as well as climate protection efforts, we are focused on the areas of our business where we can make the most positive changes. We strive to improve the environmental performance of our refrigeration equipment. We are also continuously working to increase the energy efficiency and savings in our manufacturing facilities.
Our mission as a company, in addition to continuously creating the best brands and providing undisputed quality, is to ensure sustainable development for the company and the community.
One great example how we create an impact is our long tradition of donating energy efficient street lighting, as part of the long-term project of Pivara Skopje for taking care for the environment and supporting municipalities in increasing the urban living standards. The stylized lampposts with built-in energy efficient lights provide saving the electricity used for lighting of public spaces.
Many places in Macedonia are equipped with energy saving lampposts and other urban equipment donated by Pivara Skopje. Skopje, Ohrid, Prilep, Strumica, Kriva Palanka, Bitola, Resen and other municipalities are part of this project and it continues further.
Back in 2011, on the eve of the opening of the annual Pivofest, Pivara Skopje donated to the City of Prilep and its citizens new styled lampposts fulfilling our enduring commitment – to show interest for the needs of the citizens and take care of the environment. This gift of Pivara Skopje to the City of Prilep was a nice example of how businesses and municipalities can jointly contribute to the satisfaction of the local citizens, at the same time taking care of the environment. Pivara Skopje is successfully cooperating with the City of Prilep on several grounds and this project is just one of them.
Over 50 stylized lampposts that provided new esthetic value to Strumica’s downtown were donated by Pivara Skopje to the citizens of Strumica in 2013, marking the start of Open Festival, “spiced up” with cold beer, tasty food, excellent entertainment and joint care for the environment. With the new lighting, the city park got a new glow, thus becoming one of the most favourite spots for relaxation of the residents and visitors of Strumica.
The action that enabled the refreshment of the image of the central city park was implemented in cooperation with the municipality of Strumica that made the necessary construction works and electrical installations for setting the lampposts.
For many years, Pivara Skopje pays great attention to building a corporate culture based on responsible behavior and saving essential natural resources, not only at the workplace, but also in the everyday environment of our employees, customers, consumers and other stakeholders.
