
1945-77

January 27, 1945 – By decision of the State Administration of People’s Properties in Skopje, the industrial company for the production of beer, malt and ice, which, until then was a joint-stock company, was proclaimed a state-owned company, in accordance with the post-war order of the socialist state.
After liberation, a new era began in the work of Pivara Skopje, which corresponded to the political years and economic transformations in general. Then began the period in which expansion and modernization of the enterprise was planned. In the first post-war year, 20,428 hectoliters of beer were produced, which was 12% less than the highest production before the war.
May 6, 1947 – By decision of the People’s Republic of Macedonia presidency, the company Parna Pivara – Skopje will be registered, and this name will be retained for the next three decades.
1947 – Under the proposal of the People’s Republic of Macedonia presidency, Parna Pivara – Skopje was listed among the companies of utmost importance to the state.
1951 — The first post-war reconstruction of a larger scale was carried out, with which the production process was modernized and the capacities were increased. Improvements to the production process would follow in 1958, 1963, 1969 and 1974.
1967 – Parna Pivara-Skopje with a special label for its “Skopsko Beer” joins the global action “1967: International Tourist Year”, initiated by UNESCO.
1967-1969 — “Pivarski zbor” is published, an internal magazine intended for informing and educating the employees of Pivara Skopje, but also as a means for direct communication with the consumers.
1977 – In addition to several types of beer and beer malt, Pivara Skopje begins production and distribution of a wide range of soft drinks, including: “Cola”, “Bitter-lemon”, “Tonic”, “Orange”, “Mango” and “Soda-Water”.
