1978 – Pivara Skopje receives the first international recognition – a silver medal for quality for the SKOPSKO beer, awarded by the International Institute of Selection and Quality Monde Selection from Brussels. In 1981 SKOPSKO won the gold medal.
1982 – The company’s production range is expanded with a quality red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar and white distilled vinegar, which for many years will be an important part of the Macedonian households’ dining tables, winning numerous international quality awards by the International Institute for Quality Selection Monde Selection.
1985 – A major improvement in production capacity is made, increasing production to a record-breaking 1,000,000 hectoliters per year.
1987 – The company begins production and sale of secondary beer products: dry brewing yeast and dry brewer’s spent grain.
1989 – The initial phase of the privatization process of Pivara Skopje begins, with the transfer of ownership in the area of distribution and transport trucks. In the second phase, the distribution centers were transformed. In 1995, this complex process was successfully completed.
1991 — Pivara Skopje becomes an authorized bottler for the products of The Coca-Cola Company. For the first time, in addition to the previous glass packaging, a new packaging was introduced – plastic (PET) bottles and cans.
1993 — “Star lisec”, a new, stronger variant of SKOPSKO, is released on the market, which will soon gain its loyal fans.
1998 — Pivara Skopje becomes part of the large Heineken family, when the Greek companies “Hellenic-bottling” and “Athens Brewery” owned by the Dutch company “Heineken” become owners of 51 percent of the Pivara Skopje shares.
