INTERESTING BARS AROUND MACEDONIA

When I turn back in time and think about it, I’m always surprised to realize how fast time has gone by, how fast that half year has passed by, since I first arrived at Pivara Skopje and in Macedonia. I come from Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and I’ve joined Pivara Skopje’s sales team. New acquaintances, new buyers, different culture and mindsets. I had the pleasure to be assigned to the southern region. It covers many cities in eastern, central and western Macedonia. My work enabled me to visit all markets and get to know the richness and diversity of each and every of these areas. There are two locations in each city where one can definitely get to know its inhabitants and their habits: city’s farmers market and the locations where people get together to have a cup of coffee, Coca-Cola or SKOPSKO. Macedonians, Albanians and all other citizens of this country are very open and friendly and such socialization usually takes place in coffee bars, taverns or restaurants. To all of you, who by any chance find themselves in some of these places, I would strongly recommend to make an attempt to learn something about the local inhabitants and their habits, while enjoying in our products.

Midnight Club – Skopje

Midnight, or Musandra, as older generations remember it, is one of the oldest discos in the city. My coworkers told me that the club was first opened back in 1995. Musandra was operating as one of the most popular discos at the time which was also THE place to be seen, offering great fun. Over the years, the disco has been through many transformations, so the famous Musandra was next called Proces, a club that functioned successfully for 7 years. The place was transformed once more to become what is now the Midnight Club, a symbol of good fun in the city.

It constantly offers great program, cold SKOPSKO and excellent fun, and these are the characteristics that best describe the Midnight Club.

The catering industry is an art per se. When thinking about Strumica, one of the things that will certainly come to your mind is the great fun that the city has to offer. And, you are right to believe so, because Strumica has many great places, coffee bars and night clubs. One of the newest places which definitely looks worldly and fancy is the Concept Coffee Bar. There is no excuse about missing it.

If you want to feel Strumica’s energy throughout the day, take a walk on a Saturday early afternoon on the Strumica Korzo, more precisely, make sure to visit the lower section of the Korzo leading towards the park. This is the place to meet both young and elderly people who enjoy the warm sun, even during the winter. If there is no way for you to come at the weekend, then follow my advice, try to enjoy during the week, savoring house’s specialty: the traditional Turkish coffee prepared using special Turkish sand and served in special copper pots along with a cube of sugar and Turkish delight. I usually have it with a cup of Coca-Cola, which helps me recharge my batteries and go through the hard working day.

This is a list of the bars I first visited when I moved to Macedonia. I constantly meet new people and new places, so this is not the final list for sure. At the end, I can conclude one thing for sure: Macedonians certainly know how to party.
