COLLABORATION WITH RED CROSS

Stimulating the cooperation between the Red Cross and partner organizations for establishing sustainable partnerships, provision of project support for socially social programs for improving the quality of life of vulnerable categories in the community and stimulating the awareness for greater social responsibility for the business sector was the aim of today’s partner meeting organized by the Red Cross of Macedonia.

-I have to admit that the concept of social corporate responsibility for which until recently we said it was new, is already on the rise, it is developing and acquires new values and new attributes and is an option for everyone to act and work in the country, the business sector, to practice it since worldwide it is treated as an investment and not expense, said the Red Cross general secretary Sait Saiti. He said that today’s meeting is an option to discuss the options for cooperation for next year with the representatives of the corporate sector and other attendees and interested entities.

-This is related with projects that serve to improve the quality of life of vulnerable target groups in Macedonia that have social responsibility as an impact, manifestation and challenging positive effects in society-said Saiti. This, he said proved to be a good form and practice and in this way the Red Cross as direct provider of humanitarian activities on site, undertakes the role of social responsibility as motivator to everyone that until now have not done this step, to start implementing it. Lambro Patce, communications manager at Pivara Skopje said that with the Red Cross of Macedonia they have very good cooperation through the years in organizing various campaigns which, with particular focus on the employee volunteerism. Our employees have realized 1000 hours in the community this year. Recognitions that our volunteers are receiving is additional motivation for continuous development of the volunteering spirit in the company and a commitment, whenever possible, to help those who are most in need. The cooperation and the support of their teams, their expertise, competitiveness has helped for these campaigns to provide the real effect in the community-Patce said. He added that their partnership with continue in the field of environment and that they can always count on Pivara Skopje in eventual emergency situations.
