Vajnos is an archaeological site in Gorna Belica, Jablanica village with beautiful nature. People of Vevcani know the best road to Gorna Belica, and it leads through beautiful landscapes to Vajnos. Vaynos is a rich archaeological site; according to archaeologists, there was a foundry and a large public bath, and in Roman times this was a significant stop along Via Egnatia. Remains of stone slabs that were used to pave the most famous road link in the Roman Empire were excavated here.

Chengino Kale is at an altitude of about 1,760 meters above sea level, 20 km from Pehchevo, and in order to reach this hidden beauty, you go through a dense and high pine and beech forest canopy along a difficult, unpaved road that first passes through a part of the waterfalls of Bregalnica. When you get there, you cannot stop admiring. From the top of Chengino Kale, the horizon stretches in the distance to the mountains and mountain peaks – Pirin, Rila, Slavjanka and Vitosha near Sofia, Bulgaria and our own Belasica, Plachkovica, Golak, Osogovo, and even to Solunska Glava, Ljuboten on Shar Planina.

The curious will find here things from mini dinosaurs to an insect-eating plant. The small pond, 30 to 40 meters long and up to one meter deep, through which the border line passes is full almost year-round, except from the end of the summer, to the first more lush autumn rains when it’s full. Around it you will discover rich flora and fauna, endemic spruce, white birch, tritons that resemble miniature dinosaurs and the insect-eating plant drosera rotundifolia or fly-eater.

Koprishnica is a village near Demir Kapija. It is abandoned, existing in oblivion, but endlessly picturesque. It is alive only at St. George’s, when the feast is celebrated in the renewed church which is named after the saint. The beauty that awaits to be discovered in Koprishnica is the Mominski waterfall in which according to the legend a young beautiful girl was bathing and her extraordinary beauty crossed was transposed onto the river and the waterfall. Today, only the saying has remained: “The girl is gone, and the place is in the legends.”
