What sort of information does Pivara Skopje require to conduct an analysis on my idea / innovation?

What we need is a clear description which explains what makes your idea / innovation unique and what advantages it offers regarding the pre-existing solutions. Moreover, we would like to get acquainted with the status of intellectual property. If you have a patent grant, please enclose a copy of the document to review it. What would serve as a great help during the evaluation process of your idea / innovation, is to forward all supplementary information, analyses, results of any trials and tests you have conducted.

You should bear in mind that all submitted information shall not have confidentiality status. This implies that only the information that has been protected through the process of intellectual property protection, such as patents, remain in your possession. Any document indicating such patent or intellectual property must be included in your application.

How to send the prototypes of my innovation to Pivara Skopje?

Provided that you already have prototypes at your disposal, please include that information in the application form. We shall contact you if we decide that we need those prototypes.  

Should I send my idea / innovation when it is not patented or it is in the patent pending process? 

Please note that everything you submit in the application form shall not have confidentiality status, hence Pivara Skopje is under no obligation to keep that information in secrecy. Due to these reasons, we recommend and advise you to protect your innovations prior to offering them to us. Patents’ primary goal is to define ownership and to protect the rights of the holder of the specific innovation. Owing to these reasons, it is of crucial importance that this issue is clear to all of the participants in the process. Whether you shall protect your innovation or not, entirely depends on you. We advise you to refer to a legal consultant provided you have further inquiries regarding this issue.

Shall Pivara Skopje sign a Confidentiality Agreement before I share my innovation?

The answer is no because all the application forms shall not have a confidentiality status. Provided that we need some more information following the initial consideration, we shall contact you to make arrangements for taking further steps.

How long does it take to Pivara Skopje to send the initial response to the submitted idea / innovation? 

Your application form shall be reviewed by our team in Pivara Skopje, composed of experienced experts and specialists in different areas. The analysis and evaluation process may last up to 8 weeks to form an initial attitude and to conduct a proper assessment.
