HISTORY OF THE COCA-COLA BOTTLES

The years pass quickly, take a moment to chill out your old photo albums. See your loved ones, the children who have grown up today and celebrate their successes, grandmothers, gentlemen, friends whom you have not seen for years. At family gatherings, surely on a photograph there is a Coca-Cola bottle that has sent you through the years, for a better taste of all your important moments. But bottles have changed, always to be better, more environmentally friendly and more practical for consumers. The story of the famous bottles of Coca-Cola is just over a century long and the beginning as everyone else was not at all easy, but from today’s point of view it is motivating.
1915 – Coca-Cola experienced its first bottling when a trader saw increased sales of the beverage. He sent his idea to the company, but the owners did not recognize the genius of the idea.
1916 – When the company realized that it was necessary to go to the Coca-Cola bottle market, the designers had a full-blown job, because the design certainly had to be authentic and recognizable, it must not have been something already seen. The company that produced the design was called Root Glass from Indiana. It is in those parts that the contoured bottle of Coca-Cola is created that has created history!
1923 – The design of the bottle proved to be a great idea, but why have you have one bottle when you can 6? The six Coca-Cola bottles to carry were a real hit at the time.
1950 – The Coca-Cola bottled bottle was the first commercial product to appear on TIME’s cover, and then experienced its boom on the CBS ‘The Edgar Bergen-Charlie McCarthy Show.
1955 – Since then, innovations have begun in packaging, that is, people can buy bottles of different size for the first time.
1960 – He came to the recognizable Coca Cola logo. Sometime later the plastic bottle that experiences its PUMP appears. People love it, because it does not break, it is easy to close and it is very important to recycle!
2000 – Innovations go a step further, they no longer insist on design but on convenience, they are designed with special glass whose impact resistance is increased, with reduced weight and price. By 2016, there was a saving of 52,000 metric tons of glass.
2009 – Raising environmental awareness to another level is higher and a bio-degradable bottle appears, which is 100% degradable and 30% renewable.
Something later appeared and the bottle on whose label the names were written, so everyone can donate a perforated Coca-Cola.
Today, we are proud of Coca-Cola that is following you through each gathering and we want to preserve a piece of that history from which everyone has their own memories. Slowly, but surely we are building an antique museum sent by our consumers. Send us the old bottles, cups, closures, Coca-Cola and other brands, and let’s build a piece of history together, where everyone will have a share.
For a better taste of the day, send us a piece of history and keep it together!
