THE DEDICATED WORK IS NOT DIFFICULT, IF YOU ARE ON THE FIELD THAT YOU WANT

Frosina Parmakovska this year’s winner of the “Novel of the year” award. She has graduated at the Department of General and Comparative Literature, and she mastered the Cultural Studies at the Institute of Macedonian Literature, today there are three novels “Writing the Lost Balls”, “Chronicle of Chronicles” and “Countdown”. Very modest and with big charisma, she conveys some of her views to the world, saying: “Success is primarily an inner feeling that can and does not have to be projected through the world that surrounds you. Confirmations and acknowledgments from people and institutions are only a consequence of that inner feeling that, in turn, is a consequence of what you have created yourself, have worked. ”
- How do you know that a story is worth telling?
Just, you are overwhelmed. It`s something as forgotten word that you must take out. The characters occupy me, the very idea of a joint search for some sort of destiny in that other reality that we discover together, the idea itself through such a quest to find together and together to convey a message. The story that the reader sees in front of him is only one part of a much larger story that follows the whole process of writing and thinking.
- What are the biggest challenges that writers face?
Personally, I owe much to the challenge to readers and people around me who supported me long ago. However, the biggest challenge is the idea that always manages to find you in different ways. Tell the story and do it as best as possible. That is, I believe, for every writer the most important, and the starting point.
- What is the position of the woman writer in the world of literature?
I can freely say, at least for the last decade, that the position of the woman-writer is completely equal to the position of the man-writer. Namely, I speak primarily, starting from myself, I do not feel any advantage, nor is any threat to me as a female author. Confirmation of this is a wave of serious texts written by female authors that are equally interesting both for literary criticism and for readers.
- What is crucial in creating a serious, multifaceted, quality literary work?
Hours spent in front of the computer, hours spent in thinking and thinking of that other world that is being shown, hours of isolation and distraction from everyday life, but also hours spent in everyday life that they experience. And many more things like reading, researching, constantly questioning the authenticity of the world you are displaying, traveling, persisting not to give up when you get somewhere …
- Which part of your social life most inspires / provokes you to write?
I’m inspired by what lies behind the curtains, inspired by the descent of masks and mental unbridling, those seemingly normal and ordinary things that are never in their essence the way they are represented. Everyday life, this, ours, what we live now, as far as it can be banal, is so suited for creating new worlds that may be its reflections, distortions, renewals.
- In your novel “Odbrojuvanje” (“Countdown”) among the many layers you cover, you also talk about the very serious problems that the world faces today: stereotypes and family problems. According to you, what is the solution to these problems?
We can not speak of a special and simple solution. This implies a whole bunch of smaller and bigger solutions including personal responsibility and self-awareness in the world to which we belong, collective consciousness and responsibility, freedom of personal choice and freedom from prejudice, and a little more compassion, love and patience that really, I believe that it can move the mountains and change the currents of the rivers.
- What is a success for you?
Success is, primarily, an inner feeling that can, but does not have to be projected through the world that surrounds you. Confirmations and acknowledgments from people and institutions are only a consequence of that inner feeling that, in turn, is a consequence of something that you have created yourself, have worked.
- How would you encourage young people from any sphere to be successful in what they are doing?
First of all, to do what they want, further, to dedicate him as much as possible, “let the hours countdown”, which is not difficult if you are on the field that you have chosen yourself and which is the best you feel.
- What are your plans and projects that you would like to dedicate to them in the future?
New times, new characters and stories come …
