MOVEMBER 2022 – DID YOU “TRIP” YOUR MUSTACHES THIS MONTH?

This November we’re toasting to Movember – the leading global movement to raise awareness of men’s health. From humble beginnings, the Movember movement has grown into the most famous global movement dedicated to raising awareness of the global men’s health crisis and initiating important conversations to remove the stigma surrounding men’s health issues.

As every year, the aim of the movement is to raise awareness of men’s mental health and the prevention of suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

November – the month when men take care of their health

We all know what happens every year in the middle of autumn – we enjoy the endless palette of colors and smells, we slowly open the season to long moments with friends accompanied by roasted chestnuts, dark beer and foam mustaches.

The story of the Movember mustache began 17 years ago as a fun experiment led by a group of Australians that turned into a charity supporting various men’s health initiatives, including prostate, testicular and colon cancer, mental health prevention and care, suicide , parenting and general health. It’s not just a trend that men around the world have embraced, but it has a deep meaning and sends a strong message to the entire population.

Namely, research shows that prostate cancer is the most common tumor in the male population. On the other hand, testicular cancer is a tumor that mainly affects young men between the ages of 20 and 40. Early detection of both types of cancer is essential so that the appropriate treatment can be started as soon as possible and the chances of a cure can be increased.

When it comes to mental health, the fight against depression and anxiety is gaining momentum. It is due to the ever-increasing stress that comes from the race with fast everyday life, external factors and influences, but also less and less time for yourself and beer with friends.Интересни факти за мустаќите
