



PIVARA SKOPJE AND THE COCA-COLA COMPANY PROVIDE 100,000EUR, VOLUNTEERS AND WATER FOR THE FLOODED AREAS




Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company are donating 100.000 euros, water and volunteer help, supporting Red Cross of Macedonia, City of Skopje, Municipality of Gazi Baba and other relevant institution in
relieving the consequences of the catastrophic floods in Skopje.
In close coordination of relief efforts with Red Cross, Pivara Skopje donates a truck of packaged water per day since the floods hit, which is being distributed to the citizens of the most affected areas. Additionally, Pivara Skopje and Coca-Cola Company made available 100.000 euros to the Red Cross and the Crises Management Committee, to be used for the priority needs of the citizens and supporting with logistics in relieving the devastating consequences of floods.
“The tragic consequences of this catastrophic flood deeply moved all of us, in Pivara Skopje and Coca-Cola Company. Our initial response was to reach out to our long-standing partners in Red Cross and offer all our support to help those who were most affected by this natural disaster. They are our employees, neighbors, friends and fellow citizens. Pivara Skopje has been an integral part of the Macedonian fabric for more than nine decades, and we feel it is only natural we put in all our strength to contribute in relief efforts in times like these, in products, logistics, hours of volunteering and financial support”, stated the General Manager of Pivara Skopje, Jovan Radosavljevic during the visit of the Red Cross warehouse in Momin Potok.
In order to provide efficient assistance to the affected citizens, Pivara Skopje assured appropriate logistical support and transportation of bottled water from the beginning of the crisis. More than 70 employees are engaged as volunteers in the Red Cross facilities, where they prepare food packages for the affected families and support Red Cross in other activities.
“With the assured financial resources, donations of bottled water, volunteer work and the provided logistical support, Pivara Skopje, Coca-Cola Company and their employees once again proved in action their care for the community and the people in times when it is most needed. By making available human and company resources they demonstrated high socially responsible awareness as well as that they are true partner of the community and of the Red Cross, one that we can always rely on and for that we are all thankful”, said the General Secretary of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, Sait Saiti.
During the following days, Pivara Skopje and Coca-Cola Company remain prepared and committed to helping the country and the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia in dealing with the consequences from the floods.
