THE TIMES WHEN BREGOVIĆ AND ČOLA SANG THE HITS OF “BIJELO DUGME” ESPECIALLY FOR THE PROMOTION OF “STAR LISEC”
There is no one who does not remember “Star Lisec” beer. Despite the fact that it had a relatively short life on the Macedonian and Balkan market, it quickly gained its loyal followers. It gained its popularity, especially among young people, primarily thanks to its unique strong taste, but also to the skillfully managed advertising campaign. So, if you ask someone to recall what their first associations are when “Star Lisec” is mentioned, there is a good chance that you will hear the words “Some people just have style” – the slogan of the Star Lisec campaign – with a smile.
After the successful start on the Macedonian market, a campaign to break into the Balkan market also began. The beginning of this campaign was marked by a glamorous presentation of “Star Lisec” in Belgrade. The presentation was held on March 19, 1997 in the Atlantic and Pacific halls of Belgrade’s Intercontinental Hotel, under the marketing slogan “Someone People Just Have Style.”
Pivara Skopje had the honor of giving the opening words for this event by the famous actor and director Irfan Mensur. Special guests at the promotion, to the great delight of all present, were the mega-popular music stars Zdravko Čolić and Goran Bregović. The two famous musicians in tandem made an extraordinary performance of “Loše vino” and “Ružica”, hits of “Bijelo Dugme”:
Other famous names could be seen at the promotion, including music legend Vladimir Savčić Čobi, former frontman of the group “Pro Arte” and tennis ace Slobodan Živoinović. Pivara Skopje made sure that the event was at a high level with the accompanying luxury propaganda material, special gift bags and good appetizers.
