ZORE SPASOVSKA – I CELEBRATE 40 YEARS WORKING IN PIVARA SKOPJE THIS YEAR – THE COMPANY IS MY SECOND HOME

Four decades in Pivara Skopje, filled with challenges and changing a number of positions, is evidence that Pivara Skopje is a company that takes care of its employees and their personal and career development, says Zore Spasovska, a specialist in credit control in the Financial sector. He says that Pivara Skopje is an example of a company in which the notion of gender equality is not discussed, because it is understood. Like most women, she manages to tackle several obligations simultaneously, both privately and at work and she thinks that the good organization, the cooperation, and the support from the family are the most important. She spends her spare time with her grandchildren Petar and Lea.

1. Tell us more about your beginnings… When and how did you start your career in Pivara Skopje?

My career in Pivara Skopje started on June 4, 1979. At first I was working in production, and then in the next 5 years in the Commerce sector, the then Invoicing department. Over the years, I have changed several positions in both the Commerce and the Finances sectors and this has allowed me to expand my knowledge in many fields. I am proud to share that this year I celebrate four decades of working in Pivara Skopje.

2. What is the scope of your current position and what are the challenges and responsibilities?

I am currently Specialist in Credit Control in the Finances Sector. The workplace means everyday communication with colleagues from other sectors and with our customers. We are constantly trying to have satisfied customers and they always come first.

3. How much has Pivara Skopje helped you to progress and achieve your professional goals and how much it motivates you to pursue new success on a daily basis?

Pivara Skopje is undoubtedly a company that constantly takes care of its employees. I am happy that during my career I had the opportunity to expand and upgrade my knowledge and work in a company that nurtures positive atmosphere and team spirit. We, the Pivarci, feel Pivara Skopje as our second home.

4. What is your greatest career achievement so far?

The fact that my first job was in Pivara Skopje, and that after 40 years here I will finish my working life, is a feat in its own rite.

5. According to you, what is the role of women in improving gender equality in the business environment?

For me, Pivara Skopje is an example of a company in which the term gender equality is not discussed because it is implied. Our teams are an example of equality and opportunity for progress independently of gender.

6. As a woman with a professional career, how do you manage to balance work and family?

Like all women, I manage to tackle several obligations simultaneously, both privately and at work. I think that the good organization, the cooperation, and the support from the family are the most important.

7. Given your long-standing professional experience in Pivara Skopje, what tips do you share with your younger colleagues and those who are still learning the tricks of the trade? What values should they apply to be successful?

I would advise young people to become one with their job, to love and respect the company, to be positive, persevering and honest in carrying out their tasks and achieving their goals. Also, they should gladly welcome every new working day and accept the opportunities offered by Pivara Skopje.

8. How do you spend your spare time? What relaxes you after a hard working day?

I spend my spare time with my family: husband, sons, sisters and grandchildren Petar and Lea. For me, the moments spent with my closest ones are priceless. Sometimes, my husband and I use the opportunity to travel somewhere with friends and relax.
