When and how did the story start with Pivara Skopje and how has your career developed over the years?
In Pivara Skopje I started working in 1985. By profession I am an electrician and my first job was maintain distribution vehicles. After 10 years, after the vehicles were assigned to drivers as private, I continued to work on holding electric forklift trucks, which Pivara purchased for the needs of the warehouses. In 2012, Pivara took a leasing vehicle that was needed for the Commercial Sales Department so that except for the repair of forklift trucks, I also work on servicing vehicles. In 2014, three colleagues with whom I worked for a long time in the fleet, went to retirement. Since then I keep the vehicles by myself.

 

What are your job responsibilities?
Now I’m taking care of the entire fleet of vehicles and forklifts. I run the entire administration, open orders, validate leasing and fuel invoices, I procure all the necessary documents for the vehicles, organize timely registration, replacement of tires. I am the responsible person when service is required or repair for any damages incurred. I also maintain managerial vehicles, which means regular servicing.

 

You mentioned that Pivara Skopje invested part of its funds in the procurement of new vehicles. How many vehicles have been procured and what does this investment mean for a company like Pivara?
Last year, 91 commercial and 16 management vehicles were procured. Renewing the fleet of Pivara Skopje with new vehicles is another in the series of investments that our company has been doing for almost a century. The goal of this investment is to increase the safety of our employees, to develop and maintain productivity, and to protect the environment by reducing CO2 emissions by more than 20 percent. This investment is very important for the increase in sales of all products. With these vehicles, the commercialist will arrive on time to every consumer of our products and we will always be ahead of other competitors.

 

How important is the maintenance of a fleet in a company like Pivara Skopje, for the work to take place without stalling?
The work of the vehicle fleet is very important for all things can function impeccably. For that purpose, we have excellent cooperation with the service of Porsche Macedonia and so far we have had not a standstill in the work due to a faulty vehicle.

 

Proof that you are fully committed to work is the recognition of an employee of the year. What is this owing to and what does it mean to you?
The received recognition is primarily due to the long-standing commitment in the work, the timely fulfillment of all obligations and the correct relationship with all colleagues and associates. Recognition means a lot to me and motivates me in my future work and therefore everyone should be rewarded for the results achieved. Such acknowledgments are also proof that Pivara Skopje takes care of its employees and constantly invests in them.

 

What professional goals you want to achieve in the future to be even more successful in your area?
The way of working in Pivara Skopje 30 years ago and now, there is a huge difference. Each year comes out something new for which learning and full commitment are needed. This allows us to accomplish tasks better and more efficiently. Although I am older, as long as I do not retire, I will pursue new goals that the company will require from me.

How important is the cooperation with the other sectors in the company?
In order for the fleet to function impeccably, there must be excellent cooperation with the purchasing, commercial and financial sectors. Mutual co-operation is at a very high level. Maybe I’m not right, but in practice it’s been proofed that it’s not only needed the e-mail communication which is most commonly used by younger colleagues, because then blame is easily transferred from one to another. I think that for every problem we have to sit down, talk and find a solution.

 

What is your cooperation with your younger colleagues? What can you learn from them, and what are they of your many years of experience?
The cooperation with the young colleagues is excellent, especially with colleagues from the Logistics department, from whom I learned a lot, primarily computer work, foreign language and work in the SAP system. My advice is to have more patience in the work, because in practice things are never the same as they imagine. We should always respect and understand each other with colleagues, as well as with the people from the foreign companies with whom we cooperate.
