BY OPENING THE 12TH COCA-COLA ACTIVE ZONE, KAVADARCI BECAME PART OF THE PIVARA SKOPJE AND COCA-COLA GRAND PROJECT
Today Kavadarci received its “Coca-Cola Active Zone” and its inhabitants joined the thousands of citizens who already are exploiting the benefits of the eleven attractive “Coca-Cola Active Zones” throughout Macedonia. The new gathering point for the Kavadarci citizens of all ages is a donation by the Coca-Cola Company and Pivara Skopje and it is a great location for mingling, entertainment, recreation and further stimulation of the active lifestyle habits.
“It is my great pleasure that today, in one of the most sports active cities in Macedonia, we are opening the twelfth Coca-Cola Active Zone. The correctness of our decision for installing Coca-Cola Active zone in Kavadarci, is confirmed by the great number of attendees here today, and furthermore, by the notion that this zone has been opened based on the requests by the citizens of Kavadarci. The success and results from this project are more than obvious – in 3 years we have set up 12 Active zones across Macedonia, while each day we are receiving new requests for opening of other Active zones in the rest of the municipalities. Throughout “Coca-Cola Active zones” platform, apart from the fact that we have encouraged an initiative for active lifestyle, sport and recreation, we are promoting a concept with wide array of benefits for the whole community, by inclusion of the citizens from different categories bearing the same interest.
We are continuing with the ‘Coca-Cola Active zones’ project, so we will see each other again very soon, at a new location with a new ‘Coca-Cola Active zone’.”, said Vladimir Kosijer, General Manager of Pivara Skopje at today’s opening of the “Coca-Cola Active zone” in Kavadarci.
Kavadarci is the twelfth municipality within this project, joining the municipalities of Prilep, Strumica, Ohrid, Tetovo, Stip, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Radovish and Skopje with the three locations Gazi Baba, Chair and on the bay of the Vardar River.
The opening was attended by many citizens of the municipality who were eagerly looking forward to try out the new training equipment. About the benefits of the zone and the cooperation with Pivara Skopje, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kavadarci, Mr. Mitko Janchev said:
“On behalf of the municipality of Kavadarci and the citizens of Kavadarci, we thank Pivara Skopje and the Coca-Cola Company for the donation and their willingness to meet the requests of the citizens of Kavadarci – our city to become part of this great and noble project, as this is the right way of demonstrating how long-term partnerships are being nurtured, and whose benefits exploit all of the citizens. I invite all of our fellow citizens to take care and nurture this sports zone that beautifies our city, as now it belongs to them and should be used correctly and responsibly. The Kavadarci municipality is also working on several project for which we believe that will contribute towards strengthening the sports spirit and will provide better conditions for the young, talented athletes”
The “Coca-Cola Active Zones” are composed up of professional fitness equipment, situated at appropriate locations for free usage by all citizens, 24 hours a day.
The project “Coca-Cola Active zones” is part of the global platform of Pivara Skopje and the Coca-Cola Company, which stands for promotion of active life, but also doing good in the community through inclusion of all citizens, with the aim to provide a place for sports, recreation and socializing equally for all citizens. As part of the same platform, Pivara Skopje, together with Coca-Cola, has implemented a number of successful projects in the recent years, including “Coca-Cola Football Cup”, free bike parks, and the 11 “Coca-Cola Active zones” for residents of Prilep, Strumica, Ohrid, Tetovo, Stip, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Radovish and Skopje.
