RECORD FOR 90 YEARS OF SKOPSKO
At the first day of this year’s Pivofest, Pivara Skopje and SKOPSKO arranged a spectacle for the visitors and fans of beer, barbecue and excellent entertainment
The beer with the longest tradition in the country – SKOPSKO celebrated the 90th anniversary of its development with a new record, sharing the joy of the jubilee with beer fans at Pivofest 2014. SKOPSKO is the only beer brand in the country that celebrates 90 years, which coincides with the birthday of Pivara Skopje. The jubilee of one of the most famous domestic brands was marked in an extraordinary, attractive way – by preparing a 90 kilogram burger, which according to the available information is a record achievement in the country and wider.
“We in Pivara Skopje are used to records. They are integral part of our tradition and goal that we strive to surpass in the future. But, the success doesn’t mean anything if we do not share it with the fans of our brands. In this case, it is SKOPSKO, as the brand with the longest tradition, which over the past 90 years became a synonym for beer in Macedonia. And in this way, by preparing a record big burger, we all give it the respect it deserves because there is only one SKOPSKO”, said Aleksandar Ruzhevic, General Manager of Pivara Skopje.
A team of about 10 barbecue masters was in charge of preparing this huge burger, while the entire procedure for preparation of this gastronomic surprise lasted for several hours.
“The challenge to prepare this attraction was big as the very burger. Thorough preparations, adequate plan and coordination were necessary. We are proud that we set a record and all credit goes to SKOPSKO and Pivara Skopje”, said Dime Gjorgioski, manager of Hotel Salida, who on this special occasion revealed the secret ingredient for preparing the giant burger. “There is no good barbecue without good beer. This is the secret of every barbecue master. Besides the best meat and the adequate spices, we also added SKOPSKO while preparing the biggest burger. It gives a special taste and irresistible freshness that increases appetite and causes pleasure. Finally, for perfect consumption enjoy it with a cold SKOPSKO”, stressed the manager of the establishment where the record large burger was made.
Judging by the excellent atmosphere and the experience from the previous festivals, the visitors of the four festival days of the 12th Pivofest will have a new wonderful opportunity to enjoy and have fun with excellent beer, tasty food and music adapted to the tastes of all generations.
