VOLUNTARY ACTION OF WOMEN OF PIVARA SKOPJE IN THE SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE

Having as a motive the power of women in modern society, and even more, the role of women employed in Pivara Skopje who regularly support socially responsible company projects, in the eve of the International Women’s Day – March 8, Pivara Skopje in cooperation with the SOS Children’s Village Macedonia organized Women volunteer action.

The action was conducted in the Creative center of the SOS Children’s Village in Chento, whereby volunteers of Pivara Skopje in two hours socializing and creative workshop helped the children in making the greeting cards for their SOS mothers.

“People say that sometimes just a little attention is enough for happiness. What women employed in Pivara Skopje made today for the children of SOS Children’s Village brought joy and warmth in all of us, because this fellowship and exchange of creative ideas helped children to create great surprises for their SOS mothers and to complete successfully this activity” – said Julijana Gapo, national director of SOS Children’s village Macedonia thanking the volunteers of Pivara Skopje for their desire to mark the 8th of March this way as well as for the company’s continued support and partnership.

SOS Children’s Village is an international non-governmental organization for social protection, dedicated to protection and enforcement of children’s rights, with special focus on supporting children without parental care and children who grow up in families with social risks.

The Macedonian organization was established in 2002 and within the organization function the: SOS Children’s Village, SOS Youth Community and the SOS semi-independent living program. In 2016, SOS Children’s Village Macedonia celebrated 15 years of successful operations in the country, and on the occasion of the jubilee, Pivara Skopje was granted with a jubilee plaque as a gesture of of appreciation for the continued and long-standing support that the company gives to the organization.

Evidence of this is the large number of varied activities and socially responsible projects aimed at supporting the community. At the same time, through this voluntary action of women employed in Pivara Skopje they have shown once again that solidarity is part of their personal code of values, which is undoubtedly a characteristic of people with integrity and a strong desire to help where necessary” – stated Lambro Patce, Public Affairs & Communication manager at Pivara Skopje.

As part of the the two global systems of Coca-Cola and Heineken, Pivara Skopje for 93 years, in addition to the leadership on the market for beer and alcoholic free beverages, set aside significant time and resources in the implementation of projects and volunteer activities to support the community in areas such as education, youth development, culture, sports, arts, social care and other areas, for which the company has received numerous awards and recognitions.
