THE SECOND COCA-COLA ACTIVE ZONE IS OPEN IN STRUMICA
In the city park at center of the city, Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company along with Strumica Municipality opened the second Coca-Cola active zone. The opening of the Acive Zone in Strumica is within the long-term project “Coca-Cola active zones” which will be implemented in several municipalities throughout the country.
The Active Zones are a donation of The Coca-Cola company and Pivara Skopje, providing recreational and sports active zones in the open air, equipped with the most modern fitness equipment, available for usage by all citizens.
“With the project “Coca-Cola Active Zones” we are continuing the long tradition and mission of Pivara Skopje and Coca-Cola for promotion of sport and regular physical activity. Within this significant project today in Municipality of Strumica, supported by local government and the organization “Open Fun Football Schools”, we opened a second Active Zone in Macedonia. We are pleased that the citizens of Strumica gain the opportunity to recreate and play sports. This summer we will continue with the implementation of the project “Coca-Cola Active Zones”, which is of huge importance for increasing physical activity among all citizens. ” said Mr. Jovan Radosavljevic, General Manager of Pivara Skopje AD.
”We are pleased that the Municipality of Strumica is part of this project that enables space for recreation and regular sports activity to all citizens. By placing the Coca-Cola active zone in Strumica we strengthen our partnership with Skopje Brewery and the Coca-Cola company and together we continue to work towards creating healthy habits among all categories of citizens. ” said Mr. Zoran Zaev, Mayor of Strumica.
The active zones consist 5 professional fitness equipment and small football goals placed on outdor locations and will be 24 hours available for use.
The project is part of a global platform for promotion of healthy and active life of Coca-Cola and it is an excellent combination of sports, entertainment and socializing as the basis for creating healthy habits among citizens. Besides Skopje and Strumica, this summer active zones will be opened as well as in Prilep, Tetovo and Ohrid.
