


COCA-COLA HBC AND PIVARA SKOPJE RANKED AGAIN AS THE MOST SUSTAINABLE BEVERAGE COMPANIES GLOBALLY
The Coca-Cola HBC Group, which includes Pivara Skopje, has retained its top positions in the two most important global ESG sustainability rankings. For the eighth time, the group has been ranked as the most sustainable beverage company according to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices for 2024, maintaining the first-place position. The group is among the top 1% of a total of 7,690 companies analyzed across 67 categories. The company’s efforts in this field have also been highly rated by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), a global environmental nonprofit organization, which awarded it a double “A” rating for 2024 in both climate and water categories.

As part of its development strategy, the Coca-Cola HBC Group and Pivara Skopje have established Mission 2025, which includes key objectives such as zero CO₂ emissions by 2040, sustainable water resource management, and waste reduction.
At the local level, in beer production, Pivara Skopje has achieved significant reductions in water and energy consumption.
“In the past year, we have made significant progress in efficient resource management and continuous process improvement. In 2024, we successfully reduced water consumption by 6.25% compared to 2023. By increasing the use of renewable energy sources, we reduced electricity consumption by 4.81% and thermal energy consumption by 5.25% compared to the previous year. These results not only enhance our operational efficiency but also reduce harmful gas emissions. More importantly, in 2024, we increased the recovery of CO₂ from total CO₂ by 12%, marking a significant success in improving our emission management efficiency and contributing to overall productivity optimization. These figures are not just numbers, they are proof that through innovation, dedication, and continuous investments in green technologies, renewable energy, and sustainable production practices, we can shape the future of brewing. We are proving that premium beer production and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand, and we proudly continue investing in sustainable solutions that will be the foundation for our future and future generations,” said Aleksandar Bojadjiski, Beer Operations Director at Pivara Skopje.
