PIVARA SKOPJE INVESTED IN THE DOMESTIC PRODUCTION OF A GLOBAL BEER BRAND – AMSTEL PREMIUM PILSENER
In the year when Pivara Skopje AD celebrates 90 years of its successful operation, the largest Macedonian brewery has enriched its product portfolio, launching on the market a new beer brand – Amstel Premium Pilsener. Over 600,000 EUR of the company’s own funds were invested in the preparations for the start of production of the new global beer brand.
“For the first time, with this investment, we managed to put Macedonia on the map of global beer brand manufacturers, which is a great success of the Macedonian economy and it further strengthens the leadership position of Pivara Skopje in the segment of investments in producing high-quality beer,“ stated the General Manager of Pivara Skopje Jaak Mikkel, emphasizing that the inclusion of a global brand of the rank of Amstel Preimum Pilsener in the production portfolio of Pivara Skopje is a “crown jewel in the achievements of the company and its employees”.
Amstel Premium Pilsener, with annual production of over 10 million hectoliters, is the fifth strongest beer brand in the world, available to beer lovers in over 75 markets worldwide.
A unique feature of this beer, which is produced according to the original recipe since 1870, is that the fermentation of the beer barley used to make Amstel Premium Pilsener lasts longer than for other pilsners.
“This brings out the best of the natural ingredients used to produce this beer, which further has the entire knowledge, skill, love and passion of generations of masters brewers in Pivara Skopje embedded into it,” says beer production manager in Pivara Skopje Kirco Stoyanov, explaining that Amstel Premium Pilsener “strikes the perfect balance between flavor and freshness”.
