NEW WORLDWIDE ACHIEVEMENT OF PIVARA SKOPJE AD
The Coca-Cola Company: Our best quality products are produced in Macedonia!
Skopje, 16 April 2013 – The Coca-Cola Company ranked Pivara Skopje AD on first place in the world, according to the Beverage Product Quality Index (BPQI). This is a second time in the last five years for Pivara Skopje AD to receive this highest recognition for quality of the beverages from the Coca-Cola portfolio.
“The constant high quality of the Coca-Cola beverages is something that we are particularly proud of. The quality is our highest priority because we know that it is also important to the consumers in over 200 countries around the world, where our products are present. The Coca-Cola lovers in Macedonia can be proud that precisely here, in Pivara Skopje, the highest quality Coca-Cola beverages in the world are produced”, stated Sean Leighton, representative of The Coca-Cola Company.
The recognition for best quality is received by the specific Coca-Cola bottler whose beverages get the highest grades or quality index during the control done by international independent laboratories. The quality control is done on beverage samples randomly collected from the points of sale. The best quality accolade is received only by the producer that receives highest quality grades during all of the 12 months within a calendar year.
“This superb outcome is a result of a continuous investment, maximum effort and team work, but also of the clear goal in front all of us that only satisfied consumers will repeat their decision to choose exactly our beverages! I would like to thank once again all employees of Pivara Skopje AD, because without their utmost support, we wouldn’t have achieved all of this”, highlighted Jaak Mikkel, the General Manager of Pivara Skopje AD.
The first place for quality of the produced beverages in 2012 is received by Pivara Skopje AD in a competition of beverages produced in Coca-Cola bottling companies in over 170 countries worldwide. The same recognition was given to Pivara Skopje AD for the results from the quality testing of the produced beverages during 2008.
“All national and international standards are respected and applied in the production of beverages in Pivara Skopje AD, including those of The Coca-Cola Company that are even stricter in some segments. Additionally, in our company we adhere to the rule that everything you do must be excellent. This is especially valid for the quality of the products that is controlled and maintained at highest level, up to the point when the products reach the end customer”, says Biljana Smiljkovska, Soft-drinks Production Manager in Pivara Skopje AD, emphasizing that Pivara Skopje AD is the first company in Macedonia and among the first ones in the region to have introduced highest quality standards, among which the ISO 22000 standard for integrated management of food safety in the areas of soft drinks and beer.
