SKOPSKO WELCOMES ITS PEER AZNAVOUR
The legend of French chansons, Charles Aznavour, was welcomed in the country by The Best of Macedonia. The special guest star was presented with the special jubilee edition of SKOPSKO which this year, just like Aznavour, celebrates its 85th birthday.
The first contact with Macedonia of the great French artists Charles Aznavour was a unique edition of The Best of Macedonia. The great actor, composer and chansonnier Aznavour, who arrived in Macedonia as the special guest at the French Film Festival, immediately after his arrival in the country visited Pivara Skopje where he was welcomed with a unique edition of SKOPSKO which this year, just like the great French artist, celebrates its 85th birthday.
“Whenever I visit a country for the first time, I want to experience and taste something that is specific for the country, something that its citizens are proud of. I am happy to be given the opportunity to taste SKOPSKO. According to many people I asked, it is one of the best Macedonian products. When I learned that SKOPSKO celebrates its 85th birthday, this meeting turned into an intimate encounter with my generation“, said Charles Aznavour during his visit to Pivara Skopje AD.
In the honour of the great artist, the company organized a reception in pleasant atmosphere created by a unique combination of French chansons, Macedonian gastronomic specialties and quality Macedonian beer.

Charles Aznavour is one of the greatest French chansonniers. Throughout his career he sang more than thousand compositions. In parallel with his music career, Aznavour successfully built his acting career as well. He played in more than 70 films. In 1998, Charles Aznavour was elected Entertainer of the Century by CNN viewers and Time Online readers, edging out Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan.
This year, Pivara Skopje AD celebrates its 85th anniversary. This significant jubilee is yet another confirmation for Pivara Skopje AD’s success story and the fact that continuous investment and advancement trumps any challenges that might come.
