COCA-COLA FOOTBALL CUP 2013 WINNERS
The big football final marked the end of this years Coca-Cola football cup organized by Pivara Skopje AD and Coca-Cola, together with the organization “Open football fun schools”. The finals took place on the stadium in the City Park in front of a large public supporting their favorites. More than 1.000 boys and girls from 90 primary and high schools from 10 municipalities in Macedonia were part of the matches before the finals.
The main aim of this project to actively include children and make them practice physical activities trough fun while spending time together as well as to create healthy life habits and sport spirit starting from their school days. The winners got golden medals, but all participants in the project are winners.
Ceno Aleksandrovski representative of the “Open football fun schools” organization, stated:
„I am very glad that this project is becoming a tradition. The partnership between Pivara AD Skopje, Coca-Cola and our organization as well as the support from schools and municipalities is a true example of how we be should joint in the efforts to obtain proper children development. Sport and physical activities must be integral part of their lives. Children accepted our project and took part with great enthusiasm in the matches, which first of all were good fun and opportunities to spend time together.
The General Manager of Pivara Skopje AD, Mr. Jaak Mikkel stressed out the importance of the project:
„Creation of young generations aware of the role of healthy life styles is of importance for every community. Besides promoting sports and physical activities, this project promotes sport spirit, fair play and offers possibilities for getting new friends, spending family time and entertainment. We are very satisfied that second year in a row we have the support of children that embrace our project and invest energy and enthusiasm. That is our assurance that we are really doing something which brings benefits to young people, their families and for the whole community. , stated Mr. Jaak Mikkel.
In addition to football matches, various sports games were organized within the Coca-Cola Cup in which family members and friend of the cup’s participants were included, which marked the event as an unique experience for all parties.
