MUNICIPALITY OF SARAJ BECAME PART OF THE BIG “COCA-COLA ACTIVE ZONES” PROJECT BY PIVARA SKOPJE AND THE “COCA-COLA” COMPANY
The residents of Saraj municipality today received their “Coca-Cola Active Zone”. This zone is the 13th in a row and it is part of the big project of Pivara Skopje and the “Coca-Cola” Company.
The zone in Saraj is actually the third out of five Active zones, that are planned to be donated through several municipalities in Macedonia this year, and it is situated within the sports and recreation center Saraj – a location that is accessible and visited by many residents of the municipality. This Active zone, like all the others, is equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, available for unlimited and free use by all citizens, 24 hours a day.
“It is a great pleasure for me to see that all Coca-Cola Active zones installed until now, are perceived by the citizens of all generations as a place where, they are enabled to recreate and practice positive habits, and even more, a place where they can socialize and spend quality time with their fellow citizens. Pivara Skopje in cooperation with the Coca-Cola Company as socially responsible companies, will continue further in direction of realization of projects that promote building and nurturing real values and inclusion of all citizens, because this is the right way to secure a sustainable future for all of us. I am convinced that the citizens of Saraj will use this zone to the maximum and will take care of it, because such a space really deserves that, “said Lambro Patche, Public relations and communications director at Pivara Skopje.
As in all other municipalities, the Coca-Cola Active Zone in Saraj was realized in cooperation with the local self-government and is evidence that building and maintaining close partnerships, always results in numerous benefits for all the citizens.
“I am truly honored that the Municipality of Saraj is part of this project, through which together with Pivara Skopje and the Coca-Cola company, we have the opportunity to motivate the citizens to nurture positive practices, all the more so that this zone is free to use and is available for everyone. Our goal is to contribute towards clean, modern and safe municipality and citizens who are taking care of themselves and their environment. That is why the Coca-Cola Active Zone is of great importance for the Municipality of Saraj and I urge my fellow citizens to use this zone properly, to take care of it and to keep it safe because only like this, we can all benefit on a long-term, said Blerim Bexheti, Mayor of the Municipality of Saraj.
This Active Zone is in fact the fourth donation in Skopje, following the zones in the Municipality of Gazi Baba, the Municipality of Cair and the Vardar River Quay. From the other municipalities own “Coca-Cola Active Zone” have the municipalities Ohrid, Strumica, Tetovo, Prilep, Stip, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Kavadarci and Radovis, while until the end of this year, two other cities will be included.
The project Coca-Cola Active Zones are part of the global platform of Pivara Skopje and the Coca-Cola Company, and aims towards generating benefits for the community through the inclusion of all citizens, in order to give everyone equal opportunities for recreation and socializing. As part of this platform, Pivara Skopje, together with the company “Coca-Cola”, has implemented a number of successful projects, including “Coca-Cola Football Cup”, free bicycle parks and “Coca-Cola Active Zones” throughout Macedonia.
