PIVARA SKOPJE AND THE COCA COLA COMPANY DONATED ACTIVE ZONE IN RADOVIŠ
Yesterday, 21st of September, officially was launched the “Coca-Cola Active Zone” in Municipality of Radoviš, as part of the big project of Pivara Skopje and The Coca Cola Company.
The active zone in Radoviš is actually penultimate of total of 10 planned for 2016 and 2017, which Pivara Skopje and The Coca Cola Company are donating to many municipalities in Macedonia, as part of their joint global platform for promoting active lifestyle and contributing to the community in general.
“We have requests on a daily basis for opening active zones in many cities in Macedonia, which in only one additional indicator for the successfulness of this project. Thanks to the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ many citizens who had the wish, now also have the opportunity for free recreation and encouraging their sport spirit. This active zone which is being opened today in the Municipality of Radoviš additionally confirms our goal to provide the citizens with their own place for sport and recreation. We, as companies, will surely meet the requests from the other municipalities as well and starting from the following year, we’ll continue donating active zones, until we cover the whole territory. Therefore, we remain dedicated to our mission, which is to truly increase the sport culture and motivate the people to practice an active and dynamic lifestyle“, said Pivara Skopje’s Public Affairs and Communications Director, Mr. Lambro Patce.
Until now, Pivara Skopje and The Coca Cola Company have donated active zones in the municipalities of Gazi Baba in Skopje, Ohrid, Strumica, Prilep, Tetovo, Kumanovo, Šhtip and Gostivar, and after the opening of the zone in Radoviš, will remain only one planned for 2017, which will complete the second year of the long-term project called “Coca-Cola Active Zones”.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company for donating this ‘Coca-Cola Active Zone’ and gave the opportunity to our municipality to be also part of this beautiful and big project. By this gesture they honestly showed that the citizens of the smaller cities also deserve to have a place where they can sport and recreate for free. At the same time, I would like to send an appeal to my fellow citizens that this sport zone which adorns our city is now theirs, so we should conscientiously and responsibly treat it, as our own“, said Mr. Saško Nikolov, Mayor of the Municipality of Radoviš.
The “Coca-Cola Active Zone” in Radoviš is placed on “Bay September 8th“, which is an easy-access location for all the residents of this city, and like all the rest, this Active Zone is also equipped with 6 professional fitness machines that will be available to all citizens 24 hours a day.
Аs part of this platform, besides the 10 “Coca-Cola Active Zones”, a string of other successful projects were implemented, among which, the Coca-Cola Football Cup and several free bike racks were donated, in order to encourage the cycling culture.
