ROSA BREASTFEEDING SCHOOL IN TETOVO – A DONATION FROM PIVARA SKOPJE AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Today marks the opening of the Rosa Breastfeeding School within the PHI Clinical Hospital Tetovo, established as a donation from Pivara Skopje and the Coca-Cola company through the Rosa brand, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

This enduring collaboration commenced in 2018 with the establishment of the Rosa Parenting School, followed by the subsequent launch of the Rosa Breastfeeding School. Its objective is to aid prospective parents in navigating the challenges associated with assuming new roles in life. Similar to other locations, the Rosa School in Tetovo will offer new mothers complimentary access to expert guidance, advice, and relevant education regarding breastfeeding and overall parenting. The facility has been fully refurbished and outfitted with modern amenities to facilitate this support.

Pivara Skopje directly covered the expenses for refurbishing and outfitting the facility through a campaign that designates one MKD from each 1.5 and 0.5-liter bottle of Rosa sold.

During today’s event at the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, Pivara Skopje’s General Manager, Dushan Mitrev, and the Minister of Health, Fatmir Medjiti, formalized a new memorandum of cooperation. This memorandum outlines the commitment of Pivara Skopje and the Ministry of Health to establish additional two new Rosa breastfeeding schools across the country by 2024.

“We are immensely gratified to inaugurate another Rosa Breastfeeding School, furthering our contribution to the adequate care and development of infants, alongside providing essential education to their parents. I take pride in the successful execution of this initiative, initiated in 2018 in partnership with the Ministry of Health, leading to the establishment of nine Rosa parenting schools and six breastfeeding schools, including the recent launch in Tetovo and the upcoming one in Skopje. As we move forward, our commitment to supporting the community remains resolute, and we embark on the coming year with heightened enthusiasm to fulfill our pledges,” expressed Dushan Mitrev, the General Manager of Pivara Skopje.

“Within the Rosa schools, young parents have the opportunity to consult with a dedicated team of experts including a pediatrician, gynecologist, obstetrician, and patronage nurse. They receive guidance on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, as well as addressing other topics related to pregnancy, antenatal care, preparation for childbirth, and newborn care and nutrition. This month, with the support of Pivara Skopje, apart from the hospital in Tetovo, we are also outfitting a new breastfeeding school at the Clinic for Children’s Diseases in Skopje. This initiative holds particular significance as breastfeeding plays a vital role in the care of prematurely born children treated at this clinic,” highlighted the Minister of Health, Fatmir Medjiti.

The Rosa breastfeeding and parenting schools hold exceptional, strategic significance for Pivara Skopje. The support extended by Rosa to new parents, coupled with the enhancement of conditions for all prospective parents and newborns, reflects only a fraction of Pivara Skopje’s commitments. The company aspires to serve as a long-term partner to the entire community, dedicating itself to all facets of community welfare and existence.
