PIVARA SKOPJE – LEADER IN THE COCA-COLA HBC SYSTEM IN THE QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY

Among bottling plants in 28 countries in Europe and beyond, Pivara Skopje received the Quality and Sustainability Award 2014 awarded by Coca-Cola HBC. This is the second consecutive year Pivara Skopje to receive this prestigious award in the largest global system for beverage production – Coca-Cola. It is awarded according to the results achieved in four key areas: quality, health and safety, environmental protection and respect of the strictest standards in business operations. Earlier, Pivara Skopje, following the controls of the level of quality in all parts of the production and distribution chain, won the 2014 Quality Award.
“We are delighted and very proud of these two awards, which definitely confirm our leadership in providing excellent results in the most important segments of our business. Additionally, to be recognized as a leader by the best in the global beverage industry means that we deserve to be in that company,” said the General Manager of Pivara Skopje, Aleksandar Ruzhevikj.
In all segments that the aforementioned awards are presented, Pivara Skopje is continuously achieving excellent results and the same happened last year. Namely, in 2014, the company maintained the high quality index of the products it produces, confirming that Coca-Cola beverages with the highest quality are produced in Macedonia for which Pivara Skopje was awarded the highest awards at the level of the whole system of Coca-Cola on two occasions so far. Also, through the implementation of programs for the use of refrigerators that do not use gases that pollute the environment, as well as investments in a new energy-efficient system in production plants that achieve greater energy savings, Pivara Skopje during last year too gave a genuine contribution to environmental protection. Additionally, a new record was set in the protection from injuries and safety in work processes, an area in which the company apart from internally, is investing in education for the health and safety of students in primary schools for which it received the highest national award for 2014.
Pivara Skopje is part of Coca-Cola HBC that includes companies from 28 countries that annually produce more than 2.1 billion unit cases of the brands of the Coca-Cola portfolio for a market of a total of 586 million consumers, which makes it one of the largest producers of the most popular beverages in the world.
