MACEDONIA HAS ITS NEW FOOTBALL STARS, THE PARTICIPANT IN THE COCA-COLA CUP
The finals of this year’s Coca-Cola Cup were held today at the Rabotnicki stadium in the Skopje City Park. The Cup is organized by The Coca-Cola Company, Pivara AD Skopje together with the organization Open fun football schools.
The participants at the finals received golden medals, but the uniqueness of Coca-Cola Cup is that all young participants in the Cup are winners.
1.500 boys and girls from 100 primary and secondary schools from 12 municipalities across Macedonia were part of the matches held in the last weeks before the finals.
The main aim of this project to actively include children and make them practice physical activities through fun while spending time together as well as to create healthy life habits and sport spirit starting from their school days. Ceno Aleksandrovski representative of the “Open football fun schools” organization, stated:
„Each year, more ore and more young people is participating in the project as well as schools and municipalities. Once again the project is a good example of good practice for unifying of the business sector, education and municipalities. I would like to once again thank to Coca-Cola Company and Pivara AD Skopje as well as to the schools and municipalities for their support and that all together make today’s event possible, and event that marks the end of one of the largest sport manifestation organized for children in Macedonia.”
The Regional representative of The Coca-Cola Company Gjorgji Hristov also stressed out the importance of the project:
“We at the Coca-Cola system believe that our business can be sustainable and healthy as is the society we serve. Therefore, it is of great importance for us to create young generations aware of the role of healthy life habits. Besides promotion of sports and physical activities, the project provides excellent basis for development of love towards sports, desire for new friendships and nurturing family values.”

In addition to football matches, various sports games were organized within the Coca-Cola Cup in which family members and friend of the cup’s participants were included, which marked the event as an unique experience for all parties. Coca-Cola Cup is being organized for the third time.
