MACEDONIA HOLDS THE WORLD’S HIGHEST RANK IN QUALITY OF COCA-COLA PRODUCTS
Coca-Cola Company representative presented Pivara Skopje AD with a recognition certificate for the achieved best product quality index in the world for 2008.
Pivara Skopje AD was presented with a recognition certificate for best quality of Coca-Cola products in the world. According to the Coca-Cola Company, Pivara Skopje AD holds the highest rank according to the best product quality index (BPQI) for 2008 in competition with 178 bottling companies. This recognition was confirmed by on-going analyses of product quality which the Coca-Cola Company carries out world-wide and throughout the year.
“It is my pleasure to announce that Coca-Cola products in Macedonia are of the highest quality” – said Tim Brett, Regional Business Unit President at Coca-Cola, when presenting the certificate to the General Manager of Pivara Skopje AD, Constantinos Spanoudis, on the ceremony organized at the premises of Pivara Skopje AD. “Quality of our products is the highest priority for the Coca Cola Company, and our colleagues from Pivara Skopje AD attained outstanding results in this area. This stands as proof of their extraordinary professionalism and dedication. Also, I would like to congratulate the Macedonian team for the 85th Anniversary of Pivara Skopje AD” – underlined Brett.
“This recognition is a proof that Macedonia has companies capable of producing best quality products in the world and Pivara Skopje AD is a clear example thereof” – said Biljana Smiljkovska, Production Manager of Soft Beverages at Pivara Skopje AD, while emphasizing that the key challenge is to stay on top. “We have set higher goals and challenges for the future and this will further motive us to continue our work. We exist to satisfy the highest criteria of consumers and that is exactly what we do”– stressed Smiljanovska.
In addition to this certificate, Pivara Skopje AD was also recognized by the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group, one of the world’s biggest bottling companies, present in 28 countries with more than half a billion consumers.
“This marks the first time for Coca-Cola Hellenic Group to award such recognition for quality of products to a company from its group. I am honoured to present the entire team of Pivara Skopje with this recognition. It is a result of their exceptional dedication to uphold highest quality standards for products intended for the consumers” – said Gary Brewster, Ph.D., Quality, Audit and Compliance Director for Coca-Cola Hellenic, when presenting the certificate.
Pivara Skopje AD is among the first companies from the region to have introduced highest quality systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, HACCP and ISO 17025, and at the same time it is the leader in implementing EU Directive on Packaging and Packaging Waste. Moreover, Pivara Skopje AD is the first company to have introduced ISO 22000 on Integrated Food Safety Management Systems for soft beverages and beer.
The two prestigious recognitions for outstanding results in quality of Coca-Cola products were presented in the year when Pivara Skopje AD celebrates its 85th Anniversary. This important jubilee is a confirmation of Pivara Skopje AD’s successful business story in Macedonia that stands against any challenges.
