THE ELEVENTH COCA-COLA ACTIVE ZONE HAS BEEN OPENED – THE CITIZENS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAIR GOT THEIR NEW PLACE SOCIALIZATION, SPORT AND RECREATION
Today, in Topansko Pole in the Municipality of Cair, in the presence of many citizens of all ages, recreationalists, renowned athletes and sports associations, as well as representatives from the local government, The Coca-Cola Company and Pivara Skopje, the eleventh “Coca-Cola Active Zone” was officially opened.
This “Coca-Cola Active Zone” in Cair marked the beginning of the third cycle of the project and by the end of the year, additional 4 “Coca-Cola Active Zones” will be installed in different municipalities in Macedonia.
“I’m truly happy that the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ became a recognizable synonym for socialization and recreation, but also a place for inclusion of all citizens from different categories who have the same interest, and that is socialization and sport. The promise we have made in 2016 that our joint ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ will be present in as many municipalities throughout Macedonia, is today confirmed with the opening of the first of the five this year’s zones that are planned for the following period. I’m assured that the citizens of Cair will enjoy their time spent here. We are especially proud of the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zones’ project because it represents an additional confirmation of our long-term commitment to contribute to the community and invest in projects from which all Macedonian citizens will benefit“, said Lambro Patce, Director of Public Affairs and Communication at Pivara Skopje.
The “Coca-Cola Active Zones” are realized with the support of the local governments and are consisted of professional fitness equipment that is installed on appropriate outdoor locations, to be used by all citizens free of charge, 24 hours.
The event was attended by a large number of local residents, media representatives and representatives from the Municipality of Cair, led by the Mayor, Mr. Visar Ganiu.
„Such sports and recreational area is more than welcomed in the Municipality of Cair and I’m grateful to Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company, who gladly accepted our request for opening the zone in our municipality. I truly hope that the ‘Coca-Cola Active Zone’ will become the most visited place in our neighborhood, where our fellow citizens will have the opportunity to recreate, to socialize, but also to have fun“, said the Mayor of Cair, Mr. Visar Ganiu.
Apart from the representatives of the sports clubs and associations on the territory of the Municipality of Cair, at the opening event also the ace of the Macedonian wrestling, Hajrush Sinani, and prof. Besnik Talai were present, who were given public recognition for the most active inhabitants in the Municipality of Cair, for their special contribution to sports and promotion of the sport in the municipality.
The project “Coca-Cola Active Zones” is part of Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company’s joint global platform for promoting the active life-style, but also for doing well in the community through inclusion of all citizens, in order to equally provide a place for sports, recreation and socialization. As part of that same platform, in the last few years, Pivara Skopje and The Coca-Cola Company have implemented a series of successful projects, among which, the “Coca-Cola Football Cup”, the free bike racks and the already installed 10 Coca-Cola Active Zones in 2016 and 2017 for the citizens of Prilep, Strumica, Ohrid, Tetovo, Stip, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Radovis and two in Skopje.
