OHRID’S DUTCH PARK RESTORED
The park is enriched with innovative leisure and recreation amenities and hence gained a new look of an exciting retreat for tourists and residents of the biggest tourist centre in the country.
Continuing its tradition of corporate social responsibility, Pivara Skopje AD decided to participate in the realization of another project that is important for the broader community.
Actually, Pivara Skopje AD took active participation in the restoration of the “Dutch Park” in Ohrid that is of particular importance for the residents, but also the visitors of the biggest tourist centre in the Republic of Macedonia.
As a result of Pivara Skopje AD’s support for the project’s finalization, the recreational park is now furnished with tables and benches. Initially, the park was constructed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Macedonia in honour of A. Den Doolaard, a renowned Dutch writer, who in the 1930s lived and worked in Ohrid and contributed to Ohrid and Macedonia’s popularization in the Netherlands and provided an additional incentive for Dutch tourists to visit Ohrid.
First group of tourists that visited the reconstructed and recreationally-refurbished park in Ohrid was the group of Dutch tourists who also marked the opening of this year’s vacationing season on the Ohrid Lake coast. They were welcomed with the Best from Macedonia – SKOPSKO. In their honour, as well as in the honour of the Dutch Park’s restoration, an appropriate reception was organized and provided them with the opportunity to enjoy the heavenly combination of Macedonian traditional food and SKOPSKO, which we were proud and honoured to cater for.
