PIVARA SKOPJE AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OPENED THE FIRST ROSA SCHOOL FOR PARENTS IN THE POLYCLINIC “JANE SANDANSKI” IN SKOPJE

As part of the partner project between Pivara Skopje and the Ministry of Health, today the first Rosa school for parents has been opened in the Polyclinic “Jane Sandanski” in Skopje.

On today’s press-conference also the opening of two additional Rosa schools by the end of the year has been announced, one in the General hospital in Gostivar and one in the Clinical hospital in Bitola.

These Rosa schools are aimed for all interested future parents and their family members, in order to encourage them for responsible and successful parenting, as well as to educate them how to deal with the everyday challenges brought by their new life roles.

From Pivara Skopje pointed out that this project is from an exceptional importance for them as a company whose commitment is to be long-term partner for the whole community, and at the same time, announced that they will continue to act in the direction of improving the conditions for all future parents.

“I believe that throughout this project we are making a step forward in improving the wellbeing of all future parents, but also for the health system in general, as one of the most important segments of the society. Our sincere goal is this project to be turned into a long-term one and to continue to live in the following years as well, in order to provide as many citizens throughout Macedonia a modern access to peaceful parenting“, said Vladimir Kosijer, General manager of Pivara Skopje.

On the press-conference also addressed the Minister of Health, Doc. Dr. Venko Filipche and the director of the PHI Health Center of Skopje, Mr. Zlate Mehmedovic, who also pointed out the importance of these kind of parenting schools, as extremely functional and effective form of group health-educational workshops.

“I am sincerely glad that Pivara Skopje truly shows its corporate-social responsibility in the Macedonian health system as well, especially because it addresses the parenting, as an exceptionally important category. We are partners in this project and the Ministry of Health will provide expert help and professional staff consisted of doctors specialists which will work in these schools, by which I believe that together we will manage to answer all possible questions in connection with the parenting and we’ll be able to make a positive change in the society”, said Doc. Dr. Venko Filipche, Minister of Health in Macedonia.

 

“In the Rosa schools for parents trained and professional staff will be engaged, consisted of pediatrician, gynecologist and a patronage nurse, who through numerous workshops organized in 5 thematic areas will train future parents how to be successful in their new roles and will educate them about the phases of the pregnancy, the proper care of future moms, preparation for delivery and care and nursing of the newborn. At the same time I would like to invite all interested citizens to sign up in this polyclinic, because the trainings will be truly beneficial for all future parents”, said Mr. Zlate Mehmedovic, director of the PHI Health Center of Skopje.

 

The project “Rosa schools for parents” is a result from the 6-month campaign through which 1 denar was collected from every sold 1,5 l Rosa bottle and the funds were allocated for complete renovation and equipping of the three premises in the health institutions aimed for the Rosa schools for parents.
