ALEKSANDAR RUZEVIC – NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF PIVARA SKOPJE AD
Aleksandar Ruzevic will be the new General Manager of Pivara Skopje starting from 1 June 2014. He will take over the management from Jaak Mikkel who is promoted to the position of Coca-Cola Hellenic General Manager for Romania and Moldova.
In the year when Pivara Skopje celebrates 90 years of its successful operation, the new general manager of Pivara Skopje Aleksandar Ruzevic assumes the position from the position commercial director of Coca-Cola Hellenic in Ukraine, which since 2010, thanks to his leadership and implementation of numerous initiatives, achieved double-digit growth in the market share of the company in the segment of soft drinks, with especially staggering growth of the brand Coca-Cola, made in a market environment full of challenges.
Ruzevic started his career in the system of Coca-Cola in Serbia in 1998. Thanks to his strong commitment to achieving high results and focus on developing commercial capabilities, within a few years only he progressed to the position of commercial director of Coca-Cola HBC for Serbia and Montenegro. From that position, together with his team, he managed to solidify the leading position of Coca-Cola brands on the market. Aleksandar Ruzevic has a master degree in law from University of Belgrade.
The current General Manager of Pivara Skopje Jaak Mikkel continues his successful career in the system of Coca-Cola at the position of General Manager for Romania and Moldova. Since April 2012, thanks to his strong leadership and clear focus on people development, Pivara Skopje has executed continually winning projects and initiatives. The company has enriched its portfolio with two new beer brands and introduced significant innovations in the domestic market of soft drinks like Coca-Cola Zero and Nestea. In all this period Pivara Skopje posted excellent operating results that cemented its forerunning market position. Supported thru Jaak’s inspirational leadership, the internal employee engagement has been continually increasing over the two years.
Under Jaak Mikkel’s leadership, Pivara Skopje continued to invest in maintaining the highest level of quality of its products, confirming the award for the highest quality index of Coca-Cola in the world and outstanding 4 gold medals from the Institute for Quality Selection “Monde selection” for SKOPSKO. During this period, the company increased its competitiveness in the market through the process of restructuring and improving the service and communication with customers and consumers. At the same time, particular attention was also paid to the implementation of projects important for the employees of Pivara Skopje, as well as the wider community, for which the company was awarded with the National award for Best practice in the field of occupational health and safety, the National award for Best practice for Education for future managers and leaders of the society, Red Cross supporter award for continuously helping those who need it the most and other more.
